The scavenger hunt activity begins with a story to introduce the Pentagruel society to the students, then students are given Pentagruel Collection Books and Pentagruel Guide Books. The Collection Book is where students will work out their domain and range problems, and the Guide Books allow the students to read more about the individual types of Pentagruels they are collecting!
Once students have their collection books, they go on a hunt to find the QR Code Cards posted around the school. When they find one, they can scan it and a problem will appear! They will record & work the problem in their collection in order to collect that Pentagruel!

set of notes utilizes Tic-Tac-Toe method for factoring quadratic equations. You do not have to use this method in order to enjoy and use these notes in your own classroom, but a video guide is provided to help you use this method. I have been using this method for years, and have seen incredible success with my own students.
One of the best resources for domain and range that I have found. This resource is easy to use and minimal prep. My students loved it. It was a great resource to use to reinforce the concept of domain and range. My Algebra 1 students seem to struggle with this topic.- Kelley N.
