This low-prep financial literacy activity is an engaging way for students to practice working with simple and compound interest (Includes Digital & Printable Versions!) Students become suspects after a thief has falsified financial records within an accounting firm. The thief left a clue sheet and students must work together, solving simple and compound interest problems to figure out who among them is the thief!

Students are given character cards when they enter the room and assume the role of a worker at an accounting firm. They must work through the clue/worksheet to clear their own name and figure out who among them is responsible for stealing money from the company!

The digital version of this activity is created in Google Slides and includes a full set of instructions for students and teachers
